Supporting business development

The Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) provides support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in various aspects of business:

  • professional advisory and professional services

  • active support of SMEs in innovation and internationalization (search for international partners) including information workshops, meetings, virtual platforms, assistance in project preparation… 

  • business assistance and advisory services for biotech companies, rental of laboratories, offices and meeting rooms, transfer of knowledge and professional education

  • mentoring for student projects and development of business ideas

Network of Entrepreneurial Support Institutions (MPPI) ensures the strengthening of the professional services offer around Croatia through the networked PPIs, in order to provide integrated assistance to SMEs at all stages of development, tailored to their needs and enable uniform access to business knowledges and skills, partners, services and information.

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the main instrument of the European strategy for increasing economic growth and employment. It consists of approximately 600 organizations from over 50 countries, dealing with support to entrepreneurship. Through its over 3,000 experts, EEN helps SMEs to achieve the maximum of business opportunities in the European single market.

BIOCentre brings together scientific groups and industry with the aim of commercializing technology. It is possible to rent a laboratory, state-of-the-art equipment and other necessary premises in one place. It is also possible to get the necessary advice to develop a company in the field of bio-science.

Horizon 2020 is a program that addresses social challenges and bridges the gap between research and the market. It will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the key strategic documents of the European Union related to research, technological development and innovation, Europa 2020 and the Innovation Union, and the construction of the Research Area.

Student Entrepreneurship Incubator Network (MSPI) is a virtual platform through which students, with the help of mentors, develop their business ideas. In the open part of the site, it is possible to exchange information and advice and business connections. In the closed part of the site, each individual student can confidently check and develop their entrepreneurial idea in collaboration with the chosen mentor or mentors.
